My father had taken two African safaris already, and had encouraged me to come with him on a third. As amazing as that experience had to be, it’s a fact: a safari is expensive, from the air travel to the eight-day trek. So my wife and I began saving. Finally a year ago we felt we had enough saved up, so I approached my dad and the plan was hatched! Now, a year later, the dream has been fulfilled and I’m starting to write about it.
The problem is, how do you put something as vast and incredible as the African Rift Valley into words? Case in point:
And so I will embark on the second adventure of a lifetime: describing a safari in words and in photos. Stay tuned to the blog, as articles will appear from time-to-time now.
